Hi, this is CJ Wolf, I’m Healthicity’s Senior Compliance Executive, and we’re talking about seven tips that every Compliance Officer should know. Tip number four is that there are tools out there now that can make your job a lot easier. What I mean by that is I’ve been serving as a compliance officer for the last few years, I was doing everything by spreadsheet, email, sent items in my email, paper and pencil sometimes, hard copies, sign in sheets for training records, and those are good, and those can be useful, and sometimes they are still necessary, but there are tools out there now, electronic tools, that can actually help you track, what I call the mundane things of compliance, the things that don’t really, in my opinion, don’t really require a lot of thinking. They are the duties, the daily grind, those daily activities and tasks and managing all of that, and there is software out there now, and there are other tools out there, that can help you do that, so that you can focus your time on real compliance issues, and doing what a compliance officer, and compliance professional, can do best. Spending their time working on compliance issues as opposed to tracking down emails and sign in sheets and paper.
