The Misadventures of Ada: "Tanning Bed," ICD-10 Cartoon W89.1XXS

Vacation season is finally upon us and nobody is more excited than Ada. After months of dreaming of the beach, she splurged on a roundtrip ticket to beautiful Florida. Thoughts of the crystal clear water, sandy beaches, lovely locals have her feeling giddy and energized.

In just a few days, she’ll be swimming and napping by the sea. Just one problem though: Ada works in an office and hasn’t been out in the sun for months.

While packing, she imagines the beach, the sunkissed glow of fellow vacationers juxtapose her sun-starved shoulders. “Oh, no. I should probably work on my base tan,” she says to herself.
