Prepare for Changes to Long-Term Care.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the Reform of Requirements or Long-Term Care Facilities in 2016 with a three-part phased implementation.

Many of the regulations were effective during phase one, which had an implementation date of November 28, 2016. The second phase of implementation will be effective November 28, 2017, and will include significant changes to long-term care facility practices such as the the completion of a Facility Assessment and development of a QAPI Plan.
