So, you submitted your MIPS data for 2017 but you might want to hold off on cracking open that bottle of champagne just yet. While the data submission process for 2017 was an improvement, there were a few hiccups. And, it’s very possible something went wrong with your submission (and you don’t even know it yet). MIPS data becomes public this summer and CMS is committed to publicly posting both individual and group MIPS data. This data includes at least MIPS scores for Quality, efficient use of EHR, Clinical Improvement Activities, and most likely a lot more. This public data will be easily comparable against other physicians or groups, which means that potential clients can use this score to decide where to go and who to see for their healthcare needs.
