Halloween was finally here! But in the hustle and bustle of work and life, Ada forgot to get a new costume. Thankfully, her nephew wanted to reprise their family favorite “Wizard of Oz” get-ups.
Although it had been a couple of years, Ada was thrilled to bust out her old Wicked Witch of the West costume. She couldn’t wait for her nephew to approach the door in his Cowardly Lion costume. She was ready to deliver quite a jump scare!
As she snuck a piece of candy from the bowl, she realized that garlic bread she’d eaten with dinner was still lingering. She reached into her pocket, thrilled to find some breath spray.
She spritzed without thinking, only to realize that what she thought was breath spray was, in fact, hand sanitizer from her first pandemic-era Halloween.
In her stunned state, Ada gave her nephew a wicked fright…
