Ada and her friend went to a haunted house while on a trip to Salem, Massachusetts. As they stood in line, they learned that the haunted house used to be the old Jefferson Plantation but about a decade ago, after an unsuccessful attempt to put the alleged “haunted home” on the market, it was converted into the House of Horrors.
Every year actors from all over Massachusetts dress up and fill the mansion to give visitors a good-natured scare for the holiday. However, there have been rumors that this is more than just a regular haunted house. Ada got chills.
Ada entered the haunted house and felt an eerie thickness in the air around her. A vampire jumped out and she screamed. Then a zombie jumped out and Ada was done. She took off running and later her friend found her huddled next to a pumpkin patch. She breathed heavily, her eyes wide, and her face pale. Luckily, her friend called the paramedics. Be careful out there, Ada, there are things that go bump in the night.
