2019 Compliance Institute Lessons

So, I just left this year’s Compliance Institute in Boston and can I just say it was the best experience, yet again. I got to hear from rockstar compliance experts like Kimberly Brandt, the Principal Deputy Administrator for Operations at CMS, Linda Sanches, Senior Advisor, Health IT & Privacy Policy HHS Office for Civil Rights, and a panel made up of a moderator and the traditional three perspectives involved in False Claims, including the defense attorney, the Department of Justice attorney, and the qui tam or whistleblower’s attorney.

Hearing from the experts directly involved in creating and upholding the very rules we try to implement in our organizations was amazing. There's nothing like hearing it all directly from the horse's mouth (so to speak) to really learn how to be better at what we do.

If you missed it, don’t sweat it, I’ve got you covered. I took detailed notes at all of my favorite sessions and highlighted the take-home lessons and to-do’s to share with you.

Sadly, I couldn’t attend all of the sessions but that’s okay because you can find notes on HCCA’s website for anything I missed.

Download my Compliance Institute Lessons to see where compliance is going in 2019 and how you can further develop your program. In this eBrief, you’ll find notes from the following sessions including False Claims Act updates from the DOJ Attorney, CMS updates for Opioids and Program Integrity, Recent OCR Updates and Enforcement Actions, and Much, Much, More!
