Implement Mandatory Compliance Program Requirements for 2019.

When the Affordable Care Act was passed in 2010 it included section 6102 requiring nursing facilities to have an effective compliance program. However, CMS didn’t issue a final regulation on this until October of 2016. Following the final rule, we learned that CMS would not enforce the compliance program requirement until November of 2019.

Now here we are, fast approaching the November 2019 deadline. And if you haven’t started yet, it's time to start studying the CMS compliance program guidance documents.
