Plan Your Trip to HEALTHCON 2025

The AAPC’s annual HEALTHCON conference is the coder’s and auditor’s premier in-person educational event of the year. This year the event will be held in Orlando, FL from April 6-9, 2025. 

The event always has amazing speakers, vendors, networking opportunities as well as time to play (it is Disney World, of course)! 

Some highlighted sessions include:

One of Healthicity’s thought leaders, CJ Wolf, will be presenting twice. In one session, he will speak on “Advanced Critical Care From the MD Perspective” on Tuesday, April 8 at 4:15 PM (worth 1.25 CEUs). Critical care is traditionally a difficult area for coding auditors as the medical record has to support the patient being critically ill or injured, and the documentation needs to support the delivery of medical services that meet a standard of critical care delivery. Clinical understanding is essential for coding and auditing critical care services and Dr. Wolf will address many of these clinical issues and tips.  

On another day, Dr. Wolf presents an “Advanced Exploration of the OIG's New Compliance Guidance” on Wednesday, April 9 at 10:15 AM (worth 1.25 CEUs). So, whether you are a coder, auditor, or compliance professional, CJ will provide some insightful information for you. 

Need an anatomy refresher? There will be some great sessions where anatomical concepts will be addressed. The three hour “Anatomy Expo” on Monday, April 7 at 1 PM, appears to be the most robust session dedication to anatomy but other specialty sessions include “Mastering Anatomy and Physiology in General Surgery,” on Monday, April 7 at 4:15 PM and 1.25 CEUs, and for integumentary anatomy consider “Minor Skin Procedures in the Office” on Tuesday April 8 at 1 PM worth 1.25 CEUs.”
