The end of the year brings no greater joy than the opportunity to express to you season’s greetings and good wishes. May your holidays and New Year be filled with joy. And may they be dangerous than Ada’s.
“Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Rock,” played on repeat in Ada’s house while she prepared to deck the halls. Ada’s friend, Chris, offered to help and together they sang, drank vin brule, and put up her tree. Then, they headed outside to line the roof of her little bungalow with festive blinking lights.
Ada scrambled up the ladder with an arm full of bulbs while Chris stayed on the ground to steady her. “Hold tight,” she told him and he emphatically nodded back that he would. Ada strung lights with enthusiasm and joy to spare and things were great. But then, Chris got a little distracted and Ada, well, she got a little hung up.
