For International Women’s Day, Ada took to the streets to participate in a parade to celebrate women along with thousands of other people.
As she cruised down main street surrounded by dancers, drums, and beautifully decorated floats, she couldn’t help but bop to the music and wave to parade supporters on the sidelines. Confetti exploded in the air and danced it’s way to the asphalt. Dogs wore supporting t-shirts, dads hoisted their kids onto their shoulders to catch candy, and the vibe was lively and inspiring.
A group cheered to Ada and she turned to cheer back, arm extended above her head, huge grin on her face. And that’s when she lost control and found herself on a collision course with a bus carrying fellow supporters. She awoke surrounded by medics. Next time, Ada. Next time.
