Ada’s boss called a department meeting because he had a “big announcement,” to make. Everyone gathered round, waiting with baited breath.

“Mmm, yeaaah. Soooo this year we’re gonna let Ada be in charge of the Halloween party,” he said. Ada was thrilled! “It’s tomorrow,” he added.

Tomorrow?! She didn’t have a lot of time but she was committed to throwing the best party ever. “It’s gonna be awesome!” She told Greg, from the communications department.

Fueled by excitement and a latte or ten, Ada loaded her cubicle with pumpkins and went to town. For hours, she carved, and carved, determined to make a Jack-O-Lantern for every, single, cubicle.

However, in true Ada fashion she overextended herself just a little bit and ended up over-caffeinated and a little bit crazed. Poor Ada.

Luckily, she felt better in time for her favorite Halloween jam, “I put a spell on you.”
