Telemedicine Coding Changes in 2025

The American Medical Association’s (AMA) CPT^® Manual undergoes many changes on an annual basis and many of those changes become effective January 1st each year. 2025 is no exception. 

The new year brings new changes to the CPT^® code set, and 2025 is no exception. With significant updates affecting telemedicine, integumentary systems, and CAR-T therapy, it’s crucial for healthcare professionals to understand these revisions to stay compliant and efficient.

One of the new CPT^® codes in 2024 is the add-on code +99459, Pelvic Examination.

Depending on who you ask, between 10% and 30% of claims are denied, lost, or ignored annually. That’s quite a chunk of change.
