Give Compliance a Seat at the Innovation Table

At HCCA’s 2019 Compliance Institute, Principal Deputy Inspector General of HHS, Joanne Chiedi, encouraged the audience to embrace technology during her keynote presentation.

“When it comes to compliance in this revolutionary time in healthcare, don’t shy away from technology and innovation,” Chiedi told attendees. “Be bold. Take action. Compliance must have a seat and voice at the innovation table.”

We couldn’t agree more. After all, innovation in compliance is what we’re passionate about.

Whether your focus is employee training, incident management, program audits, or some combination of every element of your compliance program, adopting technology can help you better manage your compliance program with a lot less effort so you can put your energy where it really counts. And we’re not talking about Excel spreadsheets and email.

For example, Healthicity’s compliance software allows for anywhere training and education, keeps track of incidents without the mess, and streamlines your entire process so you can focus your time on more important things than tracking down files.

To really get the most out of technology, you need to embrace it across your program and your organization as a whole. But we know change can be intimidating and it’s not always easy to get the cost of new systems approved.

Tune into our upcoming webinar, “Technology Trends You Need to Embrace in 2019,” where we’ll discuss how you can mine data across your program, where technology can help your compliance program the most, what technology first-rate compliance programs are using.
