Introducing the Ultimate Infusion Coding Cheat Sheet

Last year, I presented the webinar “Infusion Confusion: An Auditor’s Guide to Understanding Infusion Services” where I focused on reducing the common confusion around auditing Chemotherapy and other infusion services. During the presentation I dove into CPT Hydration codes, Therapeutic, Prophylactic and Diagnostic Injections and Infusions, and the Chemotherapy administration codes, for clinic-based (pro-fee) billing. At the time, we felt it was the definitive answer to understanding infusion coding.

As of this writing, we’ve had more than 2,000 people watch the webinar (both live and the on-demand recording). Since then, however, we’ve continued to hear from our audience, “Thanks for the great webinar, but do you have any tips or best practices for the coding of infusion services?”

So obviously, it occurred to us that, until now, we hadn’t yet created a tool to simplify the process of actually coding infusion and therapy services.
